Web Page Design Challenge
IGCSE ICT students are invited to take part in the Web Page Design Challenge.
About the Challenge
The Web Page Design Challenge is inspired by a competition held on the Web Designer Forum, whereby a brief is supplied and then forum members must create a design for a web page.
Objectives
The objective behind this challenge is simply to inspire IGCSE ICT students to take the basic skills taught in the course a step further and put them to practical use. Hopefully by participating in these challenges, students will extend their knowledge and understanding of Web Page Design.
Rules
The rules are simple.
Students must submit their own work. They may adapt an existing template, but then a link to the original template must be provided in the footer of their page.
Free Web Page Templates can be found on this site (see the links in the right hand column) or at freecsstemplates.
All though there is no rule that students must use a CSS layout, it is encouraged as CSS layouts are in line with W3C standards.
The Prize
There is no formal prize, but student's submissions will be displayed in the Student Gallery as well as be used in students personal portfolios.
How to Enter
Read the brief and then design, code and submit a homepage of your interpretation of the brief.
Use the submission form to upload your design.
